FIBO 2017 Experience
We are so pleased to have had the incredible opportunity to represent The World Natural Bodybuilding
Federation at the 2017 Fitness Exhibition of the year – FIBO POWER! The trek from Sacramento, California to Cologne, Germany was a long one. Straight away from the airport to Koelnmesse Exposition Center, we found our space at Hall 10.1, booth L-29.
The FIBO Staff did a great job assembling our exhibitor booth which made it easy for us to hang well know athlete banners including; Brian Whitacre WNBF World Bodybuilding Champion, Tracy Rabbitt, also a World Champion Fit Body competitor, and Bodybuilding Champion and INBF promoter Rodney Helaire.
On Thursday and Friday, FIBO POWER was open to exhibitors and local businesses. We were able to network with people from many different aspects of the health and fitness industry. We met with company owners whom wanted to be involved with the WNBF, and were thrilled to learn about the history of the federation and its sound drug-testing policies. We met many sponsored athletes whom have competed with, or knew of our international affiliates. Our 2017 World Championships banner also shown brightly, and many of these competitors were thrilled to learn they could join us for the event of the season, this November in Boston.
As Saturday morning rolled along, in came thousands and thousands of fitness, and bodybuilding enthusiasts! Many sought out our exhibitor booth to ask questions about the WNBF, and we were pleased to be in a less frantic location of the exhibitor Hall. Throughout the weekend, we especially enjoyed meeting young athletes from Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Poland, Spain, and a dozen other countries, all of which were looking to compete in WNBF affiliate organizations.
The opportunity to educate the community at large about the long standing history and integrity of the WNBF was amazing. Although we provided literature translated into German, we are certainly thankful that so many people spoke English. It was also helpful to have representatives from the Natural Bodybuilding Federation of Italy (NBFI), including President: SandroCiccarelli and Vice President: Gabriele Tampellini, Swiss Natural Bodybuilding Federation (SNBF) President: Francois Gay, as well as advocates for the UKDFBA and WNBA/ WNBF Spain. The WNBF is excited to announce that we have established a new German federation: WNBF Germany for 2018! Thank you for being with us at FIBO Teresa Schumacher! Your success will be undeniable!!!
