Welcome WNBF Greece

We are extremely excited to welcome WNBF Greece to our affiliate family!  WNBF Greece was established on this day of July 27, 2020 in Chania, Greece by President Andreas Koukouvitakis and Vice President Kostas Vasilakis.

A message from the President;

Thank you for reading my bio.  I began my lifelong fitness journey at the age of 5 where I became heavily involved in track and field.  I continued this competitive sport until I graduated high school.  I went to college and graduated with a degree in mechanical engineering, but I later found that natural bodybuilding and personal training was my true passion.  I am now an ACSM certified personal trainer, and I have built a successful business in Chania, Crete since 2016.

Being a competitor and coach myself, and seeing the lack of proper testing in my country, I could no longer associate myself with any other organization other than the WNBF.  I am grateful to have the opportunity to bring 100% drug tested events to my country in 2021.

Our primary goal over the next year and half will be to grow the sport of natural bodybuilding, and to educate people that we will do it very differently than the other organizations in Greece.  We will work very hard to build a very strong and competitive national qualifier so that the Worlds Amateur and Pro stages will feature the best truly natural athletes from Greece.  One of the many things that I admire about the WNBF, is that the organization has the highest quality of athletes in the world.  Also the history and integrity in all that the WNBF does is truly inspiring.  We look forward to continuing their 31 year legacy in Greece.

On behalf of myself and Kostas we look forward to a long history with the WNBF and we can’t wait to be part of the over 30 World affiliates.  We look forward to meeting all of you!  We invite you to our events in Greece, and we would like to take part in the events in your great countries if you will have us.

Thank you to Bob Bell for his leadership and constant communication with us, to Tina Smith for all of her prompt email communications and resources, and we look forward to meeting Nancy Andrews in the near future as well.  Extra special thanks to my wife Nektaria Giannetaki for all her love and support in this incredible endeavor.  May our natural sport rise to its highest level ever in Greece!
