What got you interested in weight training? I was an athlete through my school years and after graduating college I needed another way to stay active and that’s when I became more involved in weight training.

What sparked your interested in competing? As I got more involved in weight training I discovered the world of bodybuilding. Competing started out as a one time, bucket-list item. All it took was one show and I was hooked.

Who was the most influential person/group that made you want to weight train? After losing the weight I had gained in college I liked how I felt and what I saw. Setting an example for my younger sisters and encouragement from my family helped me stay on this path and commit to a fit and healthy lifestyle.

Where do you currently exercise?  At my home and local gym.

How long have you been competing? I have been competing since 2014.

How many competitions have you entered? 14

What was your best placing and where? My best placing was becoming the 2017 WNBF Overall Bikini World Champion

What is your most memorable moment competing so far? My most memorable moment is most definitely earning the my world title.

What is your most surprising moment competing so far? Hearing my name and number called as the overall winner for the above. Achieving that title was a dream come true!

What was the best workout advice you received?
The best workout advice I received was to focus on mind-to-muscle connection. Don’t just go through the motions, Train hard.

What advice about fitness, health, etc. would you like to share with our readers? I always feel the need to reiterate that aesthetics does not equal fitness or health. Your health should always be number one priority and you should always do this for yourself, no one else.

What do you like most about the WNBF? I love that the WNBF holds its athletes to the highest standards and expectations. It is really great to be part of an organization with such dedicated, like-minded athletes. While I did not start in the WNBF, I know I have found my ‘home’ here and truly appreciate what the federation has to offer and what it is about.

Are you involved in any other parts of the sport? Training people? (Judging? Promoting?, etc.) I am the bikini posing coach for Team SUF athletes. I also design and make competition suits. I really enjoy doing both of these as they play an important role in the athlete’s confidence and stage presence. It also helps keep me involved even in my off-season.

What are your 2018 competition goals? Long range goals?  My goals for 2018 are to achieve pro status in Figure and to defend my world title in LA at the World Championships. My long range goal is to be competitive in the pro figure ranks.

What does being a WNBF pro mean to you?  I take great pride in being able to call myself a WNBF Pro. I see the opportunity and responsibility to lead by example to show that it IS possible to achieve a top tier level of athleticism naturally.

I’ll never turn down a good steak dinner or a giant messy greek salad! If we’re talking treat meal it’s got to be pizza with boneless spare ribs and duck sauce on top. Don’t knock it ‘till you try it!

• Non-Workout Activity(ies)?
I really love to cook! I’m always trying to adapt recipes to make a ‘healthy’ version. I also enjoy creating competition suits. When I’m not doing either of those you can find me spending time with my loved ones and 3 dogs.

• Sport?

(Other than Bodybuilding, Figure, Bikini, Physique, or Fitness) Growing up I dabbled in dance, gymnastics, soccer, track, swimming and tennis. Nothing quite stuck like bodybuilding.

• College Sports Team? Don’t follow.

• Pro Sports Team? I don’t follow any pro sports teams but I have recently become a fan of the WWE.

Every year I participate in the SUF Thanksgiving food drive and hope to help break our record again this year.
